Our story begins here with the Voyage, the middle passage and the Triangle trade. Ships left Europe, stopped in Africa and traded young and healthful captives for weapon, cloths etc. The captives were chained together in the Hull of the ships. However, the Red color of the section celebrates not that horror but the blood of our forefathers and their journey to the new world.
